Tourists were treated to a ‘knitty welcome’ at Sidmouth seafront over the Easter weekend when a creative crew embraced a crafty craze.
Five members of the town’s knit café used up their odds and ends to ‘yarnbomb’ the railings, sewing coverings and even bobbly hats.
The colourful decorations were stitched in place on Thursday evening, with the help of some intrigued passers-by, in place for Good Friday.
The knitters are now planning their next yarnbombing for FolkWeek.
Sidmouth Knit Café welcomes knitters, crocheters and embroiderers to the Unitarian Meeting Hall every Friday from 10am until noon. Entry (£4) includes tea and homemade cakes.
