Junior Riverside Players and friends enjoy drama workshop run by actress Jane Bennett

MEMBERS of the Junior Riverside Players, together with a few friends, enjoyed a drama workshop at Newton Poppleford Village Hall during the recent half-term break, led by local actress and writer Jane Bennett.

Jane took the youngsters through various warm-up games and improvisation techniques, helping them to find a character and improve their confidence and performance on stage.

She can be seen later this month in the first play of the forthcoming Charles Vance Summer Play Festival - In Praise of Love by Terence Rattigan, at the Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth.

Leonie Motler, a long standing member of the Junior Riverside Players, will also be on stage during the summer season when she takes the role of Adele in Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte’s classic love story, adapted by Charles Vance.
