Enjoy an evening of music and support Honiton's Kings House Day Hospice, and the mental health charity Mind

An evening of music with the Sweet Honi community choir and the Honiton Band takes place on Saturday, July 6 at The Beehive.

Proceeds from the event will go to Hospiscare's Kings House Day Hospice in Honiton, and Mind.

Sweet Honi is a popular choir founded in 2011 by Andy Hague. The baton has now been taken up by Kathy Rufolo, and there are around 60 members. They perform rock, soul and pop, and for the concert night they will be singing original arrangements of well-known songs by Adele, Toto and Guns N' Roses, with a professional backing band.

Honiton Band can trace its roots back to 1800. Re-established in 1956, it has more than 25 members. It is a traditional brass band with a musical repertoire that takes in traditional brass band favourites, light classical, jazz, pop and show tunes.

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30, are £10 for adults, £6 for under 16s, and available from The Beehive website or from the box office on 01404 384050.
