FolkWeek organisers have released a taster programme to get a flavour of what to expect at this year’s festival.

The annual Sidmouth musical extravaganza will include performances from the iconic Nic Jones Trio, the first lady of folk-rock Maddy Prior and Celtic powerhouses Capercaillie.

At the festival from August 2 to 9 there will also be party favourites Peatbog Faeries and festival favourites The Spooky Men’s Chorale and Show of Hands with Miranda Sykes.

There will also be appearances by the joyful Jaipur Kawa Brass Band from Rajasthan in India, and music from the Atlantic fringe with The Unwanted, as well as an all-new family festival, dances, ceilidhs, displays, workshops and the famous FolkWeek torchlight procession.
