PHOTOGRAPHER Adrian Oakes, whose latest book Perfect Dartmoor is now on sale, will hold an exhibition of Dartmoor and East Devon images at Sidbury's Kingfisher Gallery, from January 25 to 31.

Adrian's work is already familiar to those who know Dartmoor well or live in Devon and will recognise his breathtaking photographs.

Judith Stephens, from the gallery, said: "The endless patience he employs to wait for a precise shot that encapsulates a particular fall of sunlight, the shadow across a hillside and the bright flash of water tumbling in a stream shows the hallmarks of a dedicated and skilled photographer."

Of his new book Adrian said: "On a fine summer's day, standing on top of Sheeps Tor, looking over Burrator, I feel as if I am on top of the world.

"Dartmoor has a magnetism that will always draw me back."

Always keen to pass on tips to those keen to improve their photography skills, Adrian will hold a one day workshop at The Kingfisher Gallery on Sunday, February 1.

As places for this have quickly filled, a second workshop has been arranged for Sunday, February 15.
