“Their concerts are an absolute treat and usually consist of two parts.
“In the first part, they perform sacred music of Russian Orthodox Church, which contains pieces by famous composers such as Tchaikovski, Tchesnokov, Rachmaninov, Gretchaninov and some lesser known outside of Russia, but great masters of choir music.
“They also perform examples of ancient church music.
“In the second part of the concert, they sing Russian folk songs in all their variety: comic, lyric, dancing, love songs.
“Besides that, there are also pieces of secular choir music by Russian composers in their repertoire.”
He also said that they also have experience of performing programmes of romances and arias from operas by Russian composers.
He continued: “The church chants are in the Church-Slavonic language (an ancient language, a kind of Russian, which has being used as the only one in the Russian Orthodox Church).
