A special performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is coming to Sidmouth as part of a production by the Countess Wear Community Theatre.

The company promise to give it ‘a lively and refreshing interpretation’, as last year its production of Romeo and Juliet was chosen by the RSC to take part in its Open Stages Festival.

The play will be performed in a number of outside venues, including on the lawns of Kennaway House in Sidmouth at 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 30.

It will also be played at woodland in Exeter, on the banks of the River Dart at Jubilee Park, on the green adjoining Matthews Hall in Topsham, and further afield in the grounds of Harptree Court near Bristol.

Tickets will be available on the door priced at £6, £3 for children, for more information email enquiries@cwct.biz.
