Quartet bring “warmth and harmony” to folk songs with their unaccompanied singing

A FOURSOME of unaccompanied folk singers – The Claque – will appear at Payhembury Parish Hall next month.

Tale Valley Community Theatre will benefit from proceeds made by the concert, which will include a complimentary bread and cheese supper.

Tom Addison, Barry Lister – well known in Sidmouth for his pantomime dame appearances - Dave Lowry and Sean O’Shea are described as having “voices of depth and maturity, blended to bring warmth and harmony to the English Tradition with material drawn from the British Isles.”

They have been singing for many years, in various guises, as soloists, duets, trios and now a quartet.

Tickets for the Payhembury gig on Saturday, October 23, from 7.30pm, are £6 for adults, £3 for under 16s and a family ticket £15, obtainable from John Somers (01884) 277390.
