The completion of a new kitchen at Twyford House means the Sidmouth Voluntary Services are able to restart their weekday lunch club.
During lockdown, Sidmouth Voluntary Services (SVS) delivered up to 50 hot three-course lunches every weekday to the homes of Sidmouth residents unable to cater for themselves. Now restrictions have eased, the Lunch Club service will be back on October 4 with the chance to meet and have a chat with other diners.
The SVS minibuses are also available for transport between home and Twyford House for anyone booking a lunch but unable to get there by other means.
Sam Guck, Chef at The Twyford kitchen, said: “It will be lovely to see the Dining Club up and running again. We’ve missed our regulars. The new kitchen means that we can maintain and improve our five-star service for all our clients. There will be many of the old favourites on the menu, but as the set menu changes weekly we’ll have the chance to try out some new dishes as well. We’re still using our high quality local suppliers for as much fresh seasonal produce as possible.”
