The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind from 4am tomorrow morning (Wednesday, August 2).

Unseasonably windy weather will affect East Devon from 4am to 6pm, leading to some disruption in East Devon's coastal towns. 

Here is what to expect, according to the Met Office:

  • Some delays to road, rail, air, and ferry transport are likely;
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer;
  • Spray and temporary flooding on roads probably making journey times longer;
  • Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely;
  • Some short-term loss of power and other services is possible.
