A house was left 25 per cent fire-damaged after a blaze broke out in an oil tank and spread to a house in Payhembury last weekend, (August 20).
Crews from Ottery Fire Station, Honiton Fire Station, and Cullompton Fire Station rushed to a house in Lower Tale, Payhembury. The water carrier from Danes Castle Fire Station - Exeter was also mobilised.
Crews tackled a large, well-developed fire in an Oil Tank which had spread to the first floor and the roof of a house, as well as a running fuel fire spreading across the garden and driveway.
Crews worked to extinguish the fire and prevent further fire spread using Breathing Apparatus Sets, Hose Reel Jets, Fog Spikes, Attack Jets, Triple Extension Ladders, Roof Ladders, Small Tools, and Thermal Imaging Cameras.
The out building and oil tank were completely destroyed and the property suffered 25% Fire Damage and 60% smoke and water damage.
The incident was brought under control around midnight on Sunday, (August 20).
