A barn in Ottery St Mary could become two new homes, if district councillors approve plans.
A planning application has been submitted to convert an 'existing agricultural building to form two larger residential dwelling houses, located furthest west from Four Elms Farmhouse at Four Elms Farm, Alfington Road, Ottery St Mary'.
The barn was well-used when the farm was fully functional. The barn was bought in 2016 when the whole farm came up for sale and the land was sub-divided.
The owners now want to covert the barn into two new houses over two floors. The former farmhouse has been 'sympathetically restored' and extended the existing farmhouse, with a garden. There is an L-shape collection of barns that is where the new houses will be built.
