The A375 remains closed this morning, after heavy rain caused the road to flood yesterday afternoon, (October 28).
Devon and Cornwall Police shut the road at around 4pm yesterday, the water still hasn't cleared so the road is still shut both ways closed from Ottery Lane (Sidford) to Putts Corner (Gittisham).
Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council member for Sidmouth (Sid Valley) & Cabinet member for Highways Management tweeted around the same time the road was closed.
Reports of very difficult driving conditions across #EastDevon with 15mm of rain falling in the last hour ….Take care and remember don’t drive through flood water

Mr Hughes also reported that there was very slow traffic due to flooding on A3052 Boshill Hill Cross Colyford.
