Sidmouth Choral Society Presents an evening of Handel's oratorio - The Messiah at Sidmouth Parish Church on April 20 at the new time of 7pm.
Tickets are available at Paragon Books and on the door) Under the baton of conductor David Davies, 80-member strong choir will play into Handel's timeless oratorio. From the triumphant "Hallelujah" chorus to the tender strains of "And the Glory of the Lord."
Guest soloists include Bel Hartley (Soprano): - Maria Brown (Mezzo Soprano): - Michael Graham (Tenor): - Mathew Cann (Bass): Organist will be Geoffrey Morgan and resident accompanist Andrew Benoy will play the Continuo. A choir workshop will also take place on the Saturday before the concert.
A spokesman for the show said: "On Saturday, we invite aspiring singers to unleash their inner maestro and join us for a day to explore Handel's Messiah. Led by our seasoned professionals, the Choir Workshop promises camaraderie, learning, and the joy of collective singing."
